Chef Vince Scherrey

Chef Vince Scherrey is a graduate of the American Culinary Federation, (ACF), School of Apprenticeship in Little Rock, AR., in 2003 as a Certified Culinarian. Vince’s experience in the summer of 1999 of cooking at Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO., inspired him to become a chef. He was the Executive Chef at the Holiday Inn City Center in Fort Smith AR., in 2003. In that same year Vince won the 4th place in the Nation in the Tabasco’s Hottest Chef Competition, Student Division. Vince arrived at Centennial Valley Country Club in 2004. He worked as CVCC’s Sous Chef for 2 years. He returned to CVCC as Executive Chef in 2007.

Vince gives back to his community. He has helped coach and mentor the Conway High School ProStart Culinary competition team to 3rd and 2nd places in the state for the past two years. He has contributed his skills to the following charity events, The Kidney Foundation, CASA Festival of Chairs, & Chef and Child.

Vince has had numerous articles in the local and State papers about his culinary skill. He has participated in Taste of Conway, The Bridal Fair and the Arkansas Hospitality Trade Show.

Chef Vince believes in starting with good quality ingredients, preparing great food and exploring complex flavors. His style of cooking is Contemporary Southern American. Vince also has a passion for teaching others to cooking. This passion is a reflection of his passion for learning from the world around him and incorporating this knowledge into his cooking style!
